Brownsville Man Arrested for Breaking Into Businesses

BROWNSVILLE–A Brownsville man gets arrested for breaking into several businesses after he leads police officers on a short pursuit.

Juan Enrique Ruiz Castaneda 27, was booked on a eight burglary of a biulding charges, unlawful possession of a criminal instrument, evading arrest and resisting arrest. A judge set his bond was set at $44,500.

Police report they had a report of a burglar alarm at two businesses on Central Blvd early on Wednesday morning. When they responded to the locati0n, they noticed Castaneda and tried to interview him, but he ran and was caught.

Afterwards, police discovered eight businesses were broken into in the area. They deteremined  he was breaking into the rear and front doors of the locations and then breaking into cash registers.
