BROWNSVILLE–A Brownsville woman gets arrested Thursday on a charge of animal cruelty after authorities said she wasn’t taking care of her two dogs.
Police received a call about two weeks ago a neglect of dogs at a home on the 3400 block of East 27th. When they arrived at the home, officers noticed one dog was very skinny and laying on the ground, while a second dog was healthy and running around.
Animal Control officers determined the dog was malnourished and neglected by the conditiojn it was found in. So they obtained a warrant for the dog owner, Veronica Bolado, 32.
After two weeks, Bolado was finally arrested and she was charged with animal cruelty. She is out of a jail after posting a $1,500 bond on the case.
