CORPUS CHRISTI–A Senior Patrol Officer who died in an unfortunate and tragic accident off duty at his home will be laid to rest this week.
Joe Harrison, 51, was riding his tractor at his home County Road 30 near County Road 81 in Robstown when authorities said his tractor flipped on top of him.
He served as an officer in the Corpus Christi Police Department for 19 years, mostly as a patrol officer.
“Although our brother has returned home to our Lord, he leaves behind many who grieve his untimely departure. I was honored to have known, although briefly, Senior Officer Joe Harrison” said Corpus Christi Police Chief Troy Riggs. “Our heartfelt sympathy goes to the family.”
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 9, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Seaside Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 10, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Cathedral of the Palms Church, 3401 S. Alameda, Corpus Christi, Texas. Burial will be Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Midland, Texas.
