Missing Boy Found, While Aunt is in Jail

MCALLEN–A missing two-year old has been found by authorities in the Rio Grande Valley, meanwhile his aunt has been jailed over the incident.

The Department of Public Safety issued an Ambert Alert for a Terry Bennett, 2,  who was last seen early on Wednesday afternoon in McAllen.

Witnesses report Bennett was last seen with his aunt, April Woodfork, 40, possibly being driven in a gray or silver Ford Focus with a paper license tag. There were concerns she would take him to Mexico.

Police report Woodfork took Bennett without permission on Wednesday afternoon from a McAllen apartment complex. They said this is the first time she has done this.

Police confirmed Bennett was back home with his mother, while Woodfork was in jail.
