ALICE–A Jim Wells County deputy responding to a call was involved in an accident on Thursday night in Alice.
It happened around 10:40 pm on the Business 281 Bypass near Kettle Restaurant.
A deputy, whose name hasn’t been released, was involved with a t-bone accident when a car pulled out in front of him while responding to a call.
The deputy report to his superiors at the Jim Wells County Sheriff’s Department that the driver failed to yield as he was driving down Business 281.
The deputy suffered minor injuries in the car accident, while the driver of the other car was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident with the Alice Police Department assisting because it happened in the city limits.
So far, the accident is still under investigation and no tickets have been issued.
