BROWNSVILLE–A home invasion robbery goes bad for three criminals as the victims recognize they are using toy guns and they attack them.
Brownsville Police report Jose Julian Robles, 25, Julio Robles, 28 and Thalia Rodriguez, 19, were pulled over near the crime scene on the northside of city.
The Robles were bleeding and claimed they were assaulted at a home on the 2400 block of Munich.
Officers got a
different story at the house. They said the Robles broke into their house, armed with toy guns. The two people living at the house recognized the replicas and started fighting with them. Police recovered two toy guns at the scene.
It was later determined Rodriguez was the getaway
driver and the Robles had run to the car after getting beat up in the home invasion robbery.
All three were booked into the Brownsville City Jail on a robbery and engaging in criminal activity. A judge set their bond at $100,000 and they are in the Cameron County Jail.
