MCALLEN–Border Patrol Agents found several pounds of cocaine on a bus passenger, while conducting immigration inspections at the bus station in McAllen.
Agents said they encountered a nervous passenger on Monday and he gave them consent to search his luggage.
After looking at his bags, they found no contraband, but as he walked away, an agent noticed something suspicious beneath the man’s t-shirt.
The agent feared it might be a weapon so they frisked him and discovered it was about five pounds of cocaine tucked into the back of his pants. It had a street value of nearly $160,000.
The drugs and the man were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration for prosecution.
