$100,000 of Stolen Equipment Found in Jim Wells County

ALICE–A Jim Wells County investigation is ongoing after they found about $100,000 worth of stolen  equipment on a farm property in Orange Grove Tuesday.

They made the discovery after a phone call came in about the suspicious equipment was notice in a rural area near Orange Grove.

The items include: a 2007 Ford Mustang that had been reported stolen from CCPD since 2007, a small bobcat, several water pumps used by oil field companies, three utility trailers, several other pipes and pipe fittings.

It’s believed the items were taken from a number of South Texas counties and this was a storage area for the stolen items.

The person or persons responsible for taking these stolen items weren’t found and authorities are trying to find out who is responsible.
