HIDALGO–Customs and Border Protection officers seized about 26 pounds of cocaine this weekend worth about $830,000 at the Hidalgo/Reynosa International Bridge.
CBP officers came in contact with a northbound 2006 Honda Civic sedan last Sunday. After the initial inspection, the vehicle and its occupants were referred to secondary for further inspection. While in secondary, CBP officers seized 13 packages of cocaine discovered inside the vehicle. They seized the Honda Civic sedan.
A 19-year-old U.S. citizen from Pharr , Texas , and a passenger of the vehicle was transferred to the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement – Homeland Security Investigations.
