CORPUS CHRISTI–Three teens were arrested at the Texas Youth Council after they were busted trying to escape from the facility in Corpus Chrisit.
Two officers were sent to the facility Sunday night to speak about a possible escape attempt. While they were discussing the situation, they heard one of the window alarms go off.
They saw three males jump out and begin to flee on foot. A 16-year-old black male jumped in the ditch followed by an officer who quickly apprehended him.
Francisco Martinez, 17, and Felipe Armenta, 17, continued fleeing westbound alongside the ditch. They were captured behind West Oso Junior High after a short foot pursuit.
Martinez and Armenta were arrested and transported to the City Jail. They were charged with the warrant of arrest for the Escape and Evading Arrest.
The 16-year-old was transported and booked at the Nueces County Juvenile Justice Center. He was also charged with the warrant of arrest for the Escape and Evading Arrest.
