HEBBRONVILLE–U.S. Border Patrol agents at the Hebbronville station found 73 pounds of marijuana hidden in a grandfather clock and a television last weekend.
At the Farm-to-Market Road 1017 checkpoint, the canine team detected the possible presence of hidden contraband or people in the bed of a pickup truck.
Agents found nine bundles of marijuana with an estimated street value of about $60,000 concealed in the television and clock in the bed of the truck.
Border Patrol officials said the marijuana and truck were turned over to Jim Hogg County Sheriff’s Department.
