CCPD Officer Confirmed to State Committee

CORPUS CHRISTI–Senior Officer Martin “Ringo” Deleon was recently appointed to the Advisory Committee to the Texas Board of Criminal Justice on Offenders with Medical or Mental Impairments.

The Texas Senate confirmed Officer Deleon on March 3rd after he was nominated by Governor Rick Perry.

Sr. Officer Deleon is a 22-year veteran of the Corpus Christi Police Department who has served the past 18 years as an investigator with the Gang Unit.

Deleon is known as a gang expert around the state. and serving his first term as president of the Texas Gang Investigators. The TGIA consists of about 1500 Law Enforcement Officers and Prosecutors dedicated to the prevention and eradication of gang violence.
