DONNA–U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers found a load of drugs Wednesday hidden inside clothes of two people who were crossing at an Upper Valley Bridge.
Federal officers at the Donna Port of Entry came in contact with a family of three and discovered about $226,000 worth of cocaine concealed under the driver and passengers’ clothing.
CBP officers stopped a car driven by a couple along with an adult son from Reynosa. The three were referred for a secondary inspection.
While in secondary, CBP officers saw a single package hidden under the personal clothing of each traveler. They removed three packages that weighed about 7 pounds.
The two men and one woman were taken into custody and turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Homeland Security Investigations.
