PHARR–More than a million dollars worth of cocaine was seized last weekend by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Pharr-Reynosa Port of Entry.
The seizure happened last Saturday during a normal examination of a 27-year-old female driver from Reynosa who was driving a 1998 Isuzu Trooper.
After conducting an inspection, CBP officers found 16 bundles containing 40 pounds of cocaine concealed in the vehicle. The cocaine was worth $1.2 million on the streets.
CBP officers turned the driver over to ICE special agents for further investigation
