Woman Charged in Corpus Christi Murder

CORPUS CHRISTI–A woman considered a person of interest in a Corpus Christi murder was arrested early this morning in College Station for the death of a 55-year-old man.

Donna Taylor, 55, was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force and the recommended bond for her was $200,000. Authorities said she will be extradited back to Nueces County in the coming days.

Police were called last month to 548 Stingray Street for a male having difficulty breathing.  Corpus Christi Fire Department Medics responded and found a 55-year-old gunshot victim who was rushed to Spohn Memorial Hospital where he died.

Corpus Christi Police Department Patrol Officers along with Homicide/Robbery Detectives also responded and talked Taylor who was the only other person in the home at the time of the shooting.

After an investigation, detectives were able to gather evidence and obtain a Murder warrant for Taylor.
