PROGRESO—.U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers arrested a man Thursday wanted for making a straw purchases of firearms at the Progreso Port of Entry.
A CBP officer was working the pedestrian bridge at the Progreso International Bridge when he saw Arnulfo Gaytan, Jr, 18, of Weslaco. A primary inspection showed Gaytan had a warrant from the ATF.
The warrant showed was wanted for making straw purchases of firearms. Gaytan was turned over to the ATF and he was taken to the Hidalgo County Jail.
