Brownsville Police Still Looking for Man Wanted in Deadly Crash

BROWNSVILLE–Brownsville Police are still looking for a man they believe caused a fatal accident last Saturday morning as the family of the victims get ready to bury their loved ones. .

Pedro Solitaire, 37 is wanted on four warrants, including two for manslaughter and two for aggravated assault with a motor vehicle.

Witnesses report Solitaire was driving a Black Escalade on Padre Island Highway when he allegedly hit a vehicle with four people, causing a fiery crash around 2:30 am.

Cassandra Sierra, 20 and Rodolfo Ibanez, 20 were killed in the accident, according to officers. Sierra’s boyfriend, Ulysses Cordero, 20, and Sierra;s sister, Samantha, 18, escaped from the crash and survived.

Police haven’t said what caused the fatal accident and believe Solitaire may be driving around in a White 2006 Jeep. They have received many calls about Solitaire’s whereabouts and spoken to his family, but still they can’t find him.

Funeral services for Sierra and Ibanez is set for Wednesday and Thursday. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 10 am until 9 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito with a Prayer Service at 7 pm. A chapel service is scheduled Thursday morning at 10 am at the same funeral home  followed by burial in Brownsville at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
