Border Patrol Agent Fires Weapon After Rock Attack


BROWNSVILLE–A Border Patrol agent fearing for his life fired shots Saturday morning after he was a victim of a rock attack near the Rio Grande in Brownsville.

Border Patrol officials report around 9 am an agent was pelted by rocks from across the river.

Fearing for his life, the agent fired his weapon, but a spokesperson said he wasn’t sure if anybody was hit by the gunfire.

The Border Patrol is conducting an investigation and won’t release any more details.
